Gustav von Sydow

Gustav was the CEO & co-founder the Burt Corporation, a startup studio focused on data-first products, with offices in Stockholm and New York, launching products at conferences such as TechCrunch50 and DEMO.

In parallel to running Burt, Gustav established himself as an active supporter of other early-stage startups, often acting as a bridge to the American ecosystem for European founders and investors.

Late 2022, Gustav joined EQT Ventures as Entrepreneur In Residence, leading the development of a new AI-strategy for startup discovery. Gustav is now transitioning into a Partner role at EQT and moving to New York to accelerate the US expansion of their early-stage funds, while supporting a newly formed “quant team” in Stockholm to drive the next phase of EQT’s AI-strategy.
