John-Michael Schert

John-Michael is an artist, advisor, and systems change coach & consultant. He began his career as a ballet dancer with American Ballet Theatre, became a nonprofit executive director of the Trey McIntyre Project, and then a business school lecturer at Chicago Booth. Through these different lives/careers, he gained a unique insight into the process and product of art-making and realized the ability to translate the creative process across disciplines and domains.

Schert is the founder of JMS & Company and an executive producer of Treefort Music Fest. He was a 2019 USA Eisenhower Fellow and holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
